Bookstore Takeovers

Did you know that the Bookstore offers takeovers to student- run organizations on campus every semester?

Last semester, we hosted thirteen different takeovers! This initiative, which was reintroduced after the pandemic, has been very successful for both the Bookstore and multiple clubs and organizations on campus! Takeovers give students the opportunity to do some fundraising for their organization while also purchasing fashionable new merchandise to represent their favorite university in!

Here at the Bookstore, we offer takeovers on Wednesdays and Saturdays for three to four hours. These can be both in- store or online, which gives family members and friends a chance to shop the Bookstore and support the organization. We also allow students the opportunity to service table hours in store, which consists of members of the organization participating in the takeover coming in and engaging with customers, sharing information about their organization, and asking them to consider mentioning the takeover at checkout. 

Once the takeover is finished, the organization will earn 10% of the profits from all the sales that were attributed to their takeover. If you are interested in participating with the Bookstore in a takeover, email us at bookstoremarketing@udayton.edu or stop in to speak to us!
