SHIPPING POLICIES
Ground Shipping: Ground shipping will take roughly 3-5 business days after your order has been processed. This does not account for the time that it takes to fill your order.
Second Day Air Shipping: If you select second day air shipping your order will arrive two business days after your order has been processed. Your items are not guaranteed to arrive two days after you place your order but two days after your items have been prepared for shipping.
Next Day Air Shipping: When selecting next day air shipping your items are guaranteed to arrive one business day after your order has been processed, not one day after the order has been submitted.
Order Fulfillment Disclaimers: Certain items may be backordered and could prolong the fulfillment of your order. The store is also closed during certain holidays and weekends which may also delay order fulfillment.
*Please note that we do our best to fill all orders within 3 to 5 business days and procure all backordered items within a timely fashion.
MERCHANDISE (NON-TEXTBOOKS) RETURNS
You must have the original receipt.
The item must be in like-new condition with original bookstore price tags.
The item must be returned within 30 calendar days from the original purchase date.
The item must be unwashed, unworn, unused and in saleable condition.
GENERAL REFUND POLICIES
Cash purchases are refunded with cash.
Check purchases are refunded with cash. Allow 10 days for processing, or in-store credit can be issued.
Flyer Express purchases are refunded on Flyer Express (must have card).
Credit card purchases are refunded to the credit card used for the purchase (must have card).
Gift card purchases are refunded as in-store credit.
Gift returns will be refunded as an even exchange or an in-store credit.
TEXTBOOK RETURNS
You must have the original receipt.
The book must be in like-new condition.
Shrink-wrapped books must be in their original packaging (a 5 percent restocking fee may be assessed), and any access codes must be unused to process a return.
Books must be returned within 7 calendar days from the first day of class (deadline dates are posted in the store and on all receipts).
Books can be returned with the receipt and a drop/add form through the University’s final drop/add date.
Return dates for textbooks are printed at the bottom of the receipt. These dates include an overall return date deadline for the semester as well as a return date for those dropping or adding a class after the semester begins.
If you are waiting for a book to arrive in the mail, please do not buy a copy of the store to use for a week. Because some students purchase their books from other vendors, we do not buy a copy for everyone enrolled in the class. If you buy a copy to use temporarily, some students will not be able to get the book from the Bookstore when they need it.
RENTAL POLICY
The renter agrees to return the rented textbook(s) by the deadline specified on the purchase receipt in an acceptable condition.
Textbooks that are returned with water damage, badly damaged spines or covers, missing pages or covers, or other damage that UD Bookstore management deems to be unacceptable will not be accepted for return.
Rented textbooks that are not accepted for return will incur a charge for the amount of the textbook, plus the rental fee already paid.
Rented textbooks may not be sold for cash to the UD Bookstore.
The renter is responsible for informing the cashier upon return that the textbook being returned was rented. Selling back textbooks for cash, even if the cashier approves the buyback in error, does not cancel the terms of this agreement.
The renter is responsible for retaining a rental return receipt as proof of return.
POLICY EXCEPTIONS
No refunds on general books, dictionaries, reference materials, special orders, test preps, law supplements, e-books or materials containing open access codes.
No refunds on media, software or convenience items.
No refunds or exchanges on clearance merchandise.
